An FCA with a Business Studies degree, Clive has been involved in the mid-market Corporate Finance marketplace since 1985. He was a Partner and National Head of M&A at a major professional firm until leaving in 1991 to establish his own specialist SFA-authorised Corporate Finance advisory firm.
Clive subsequently spent three years as group financial director of a privately-owned £20m group of consumer product businesses, involving manufacture, import and export, and selling to the public via retail, wholesale and direct marketing.
He has a hands-on style and has been involved in over 200 private company transactions, involving start-ups, owner-managed companies and FTSE enterprises. He now combines the transaction-related advisory activities of Magus Partners with his private investments and acting as a non-executive director or adviser to the Boards of growing companies.
Clive has a long-suffering wife, three grown-up children and a passion for sports which nowadays is largely confined to a spectator role.
