Today, Best Friend's Veterinary Center offers clients the latest in veterinary medicine and technology, helping to ensure long, happy lives for the cherished pets in its care. A member of the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association, Best Friend's Veterinary Center upholds the highest standards of professional excellence and ethical treatment, as evidenced by the clinic’s outstanding record of client satisfaction. Notably, Dr. Anderson, Director of Best Friend's Veterinary Center, was named 2010’s Best Veterinarian on Whidbey in the annual Whidbey News-Times’ readership poll.
Aside from its impressive array of veterinary services, Best Friend's Veterinary Center plays an integral role in the community, particularly through its Wildlife Care Clinic. Under licensure from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Best Friend's Veterinary Center treats between 300 and 400 sick and injured animals each year in the Wildlife Care Clinic, from bald eagles and endangered owls to cougars and elk. Additionally, Best Friend's Veterinary Center donates its services to the Whidbey Animals’ Improvement Foundation’s spay and neutering and pet adoption programs.
