Pate Rehabilitation - Pate Rehabilitation provides intensive, holistic, and individualized brain injury care.
Pate Rehabilitation provides intensive, holistic, and individualized brain injury care. Specializing in the fields of medicine, neuropsychology, and physical, occupational, and speech therapies, the programs at Pate are based on sound theoretical principals.
After an initial evaluation, the center offers patients a variety of programs, including specialty-designed brain injury programs, a transitional post-acute rehabilitation program, and a young adult brain injury program. The goal at Pate is to reduce, to the greatest extent possible, the degree of the injury's impact.
Pate Rehabilitation has developed a unique assessment program called the Pate Environmentally Relevant Program Outcome System (PERPOS) that accurately measures an individual’s distraction and structure tolerance. This allows Pate to customize a treatment plan based on the patient’s areas of need and then continuously adapt the treatment plan to help the patient succeed in real world environments.
In order to achieve proper readjustment for patients, Pate Rehabilitation offers several different programs, including its outpatient day program, community-based program, vocational rehabilitation program, and long-term residential program.
Along with organizations like the Brain Injury Alliance of Texas, Pate Rehabilitation conducts outreach efforts highlighting the need for improved insurance regulations concerning the treatment of brain injury patients. In an effort to influence legislation policies that will increase coverage of comprehensive rehabilitation services, Pate conducted a tour of their facilities with Texas Representative Ken Paxton, raising awareness about the fact that access to quality care is extremely limited and often not covered by insurance. The center helps individuals locate and apply for financial assistance from entities such as the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services.
Pate is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and operates clinics in Anna, Dallas, and Irving, Texas.
